In this small town next to Kichijoji, there is no Starbucks, but a lot of cool local shops instead. Ayako, a Tokyo based model, goes to a couple of exotic bars located in the bar district in front of the Nishiogikubo station, a Thai izakaya and an Uzbekistan wine bar.

More About This Area
Perhaps Nishiogikubo (Nishi-Ogi) is not too well known among tourists to Japan, however, the area is full of charming local businesses such as antique shops, ethnic restaurants, and izakaya (Japanese pub).
Nishiogikubo is located west to Shinjuku. By train it's 8 stops from Shinjuku (one of the largest terminal station of western Tokyo) and it only takes about 10 minutes.
